Turning field experience into environmental solutions.

Who we are

Blue Odyssey Initiative is an environmental think-and-do tank that turns field observation, science and technology into practical solutions for ocean and environmental protection.

Why Blue Odyssey began in the field

Blue Odyssey Initiative began in the field. Through marine expeditions aboard the Platypus, including missions in southern France and Corsica, we explored coastal ecosystems, travelled underwater and documented biodiversity, pollution and seabed conditions.

These expeditions did more than generate images and observations. They shaped the way Blue Odyssey works today: first we explore and observe, then we build understanding with science, data and expert collaboration, and finally we develop practical solutions.

HOW OUR EXPEDITIONS LED TO BLUE AI AND POLLUSUB

Field observations revealed two recurring challenges: environmental information was often fragmented and difficult to turn into decisions, while some aquatic waste moved below the surface and could be missed by systems focused mainly on floating litter.

These findings became the starting point for Blue AI and PolluSub. Blue AI transforms observations and multiple data sources into environmental intelligence. PolluSub turns field understanding into a practical response to submerged macro-waste.
